“A former president of Harvard once observed that “universities share one characteristic with compulsive gamblers and exiled royalty: there is never enough money to satisfy their desires.”This is a bit hard on compulsive gamblers and exiled royals. America’s universities have raised their fees five times as fast as inflation over the past 30 years. Better management would allow them to do more with less. (via theeconomist) -

A music video for the track “Arrival” from the band Do Not Forsake Me My Darling, which is, naturally, a shot for shot remake of the beginning of the the first episode of The Prisoner (at least up to a certain point).
A side-by-side comparison with the original can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KcWB4B_nBM
This is impressive.
Also impressive? The band is working on writing and recording seventeen songs, each inspired by or based on an episode of the Patrick McGoohan classic.
And if you haven’t ever seen The Prisoner, get on that. You don’t know what you’re missing.
